Bosch Building Remediation and Demolition | Springfield, MA

O’Connell Development Group purchased the Bosch site in 2005 for redevelopment. The site was an abandoned early 1900s manufacturing complex that was partially consumed by fire in late 2004. The project consisted of above-grade remediation of an 8.4 acre lot, 400,000 square feet of building demolition, and redevelopment of the site. Key remediation activities included asbestos removal and PCB substations removal and disposal, including all manifests to appropriate disposal sites. The site was ultimately converted to a parking facility for Baystate Health.
